Morphe X Jaclyn Hill palette review, swatches and tutorial

Here is my review and a little tutorial video at the end on the Morphe X Jaclyn Hill palette. The palette is $38 dollars and can be found on morphebrushes.com or you can find them at Ulta now! In the palette you get 35 pigmented shadows in a variety of finishes and colors.

This is the outside of the palette. I bought mine off Morphes website, so my packaging is matte white and the back of my palette has a design that says Morphe X Jaclyn Hill. The palette available in Ulta has a glossy finish and the color names are on the back. I believe this will become the permanent packaging once the Matte finish sells out. The glossy one is nice because the color names are on the palette itself. For the matte version, the colors come on the box only. The shadow formulation is EXACTLY the same in each of the packagings.

Here is the beautiful inside of the palette and all the colors you get. You have a variety of warm tones as well as cool tones. There are 17 matte shadows and the rest are frosted or have a shimmer finish. The shadows are very soft and extremely pigmented. They glide onto the skin like butter. The ONLY thing I wish this palette had was a matte light vanilla shade. The two lightest shades in the palette have a frosted shimmer finish. In every eyeshadow look I create, I always use a matte vanilla shade to blend out the brow bone.

Here are all the shadows with there names on them. The names are not necessary unless you are talking about the shadows with someone else to explain which ones are used. They are good to know for any tutorials but if your just looking for a great eyeshadow palette, the names shouldn't matter.

Here are some swatches of each of the colors. You can see how pigmented they are and this is without any base underneath. Its just the eyeshadow switched onto my dry skin. I would use a primer when using these shadows because they are very pigmented and some of the darker ones can stain your eyelid. It will come off after washing off but some pigment may be left over. Thats why I recommend a primer. You won't have any issue with staining if you use a primer.

Here is the eyeshadow look I created with the palette. I used a combination of the colors Silk Creme, S.B.N, Royalty, Hunts, Obsessed, and Abyss. It is like a purply smokey Burgundy look. I was inspired by the cooler fall tones. More details about color and brushes used below.
